Josh Jarrett
Piano
Josh started to learn the piano in his early teens with lessons from Claire Ritter, a brilliant composer and piano instructor in North Carolina. In the span of a few months, he quickly progressed to the local arts school, Northwest School of the Arts. During this time, he spent two years teaching piano to the neighborhood locals, both children and adults.
After Northwest, Josh was accepted into the piano program at University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he studied under renowned piano professor Eric Larsen for two years and gained his diploma in Classical Piano. “My time at UNCSA was the most demanding, with multiple hours every day being spent studying pieces by some of my favorite composers, such as Chopin and Mozart.”
Josh also studied Jazz Piano at Guilford College during his undergraduate studies.
He currently resides in his cabin on his farm in Macon County, Georgia, where he continues his piano studies in private, as well as composing New Age Piano Music, one of his favorite genres.
