Voice
We specialize in both contemporary and classical voice lessons in Middle Georgia for those who are looking to improve upon their voice or have never taken a lesson in their life! We focus on vocal pedagogy including breathing, posture, intonation (pitch), resonance, articulation and a focus on open throat technique to achieve proper tonal balance and optimize the resonation space in the vocal tract. We place emphasis on developing the “total voice” including chest, middle and head registers. We help students build endurance, find their style and also offer more advance techniques including vocal compression, belt, harmony, vibrato, slides and performance techniques.
Piano
We offer all styles of piano instruction including classical, jazz, blues, pop, chill, gospel and more. A variety of instructional resources are implemented dependent upon the student’s needs including method book learning, theory, technique, chords, improvisation, ear-training, reading charts, common left hand bass lines and much more. We hold two recitals annually to boost confidence and give students a chance to demonstrate what they have learned!
Guitar and Bass
We offer guitar (all levels) and beginning bass lessons. Emphasis on Finger placement, strum patterns, note reading, scales, arpeggios, learning chords and chord transitioning, rhythm, soloing, improvisation and overall technique. We tailor lessons to your specific needs and teach all styles from rock, blues, R&B, pop and more! Have a favorite song you want to learn? Bring it in!
Drums
If drumming is your thing, look no further! You can learn the basics like stick grip and control, rudiment exercises (singles, doubles, paradiddles, flams, and drags), timing and note values, and simple beats, fills, and songs. You can also learn more advanced concepts, including various hand/foot techniques, how to learn and memorize music quickly, and how to improvise or write your own drum parts.
